Gateways(TM) announced today the start of shipments of a new generation of its
Unidirectional Gateway products. This release sets a new standard for comprehensive,
unidirectional protection of industrial networks, with innovations in both unidirectional
hardware and security software capabilities.
The new release incorporates insights from Waterfall's existing installed base in
energy, oil & gas, water and other critical infrastructure segments, from Critical
Infrastructure Protection-related regulatory authorities, and from lessons learned from
recent advanced cyber attacks.
Waterfall's new WF-400 hardware addresses the top two needs of the unidirectional
security industry: industrial grade, mission critical stability and robustness, and
protection against advanced cyber threats. The WF-400 introduces support for unparalleled
throughput, while maintaining minimal power consumption. The throughput increase provides
customers with an evolutionary path for supporting their current and future needs and
allows industrial customers to take advantage of very high conventional data volumes,
including applications such as advanced remote monitoring and assistance applications. Low
power consumption is important to many industrial and mission critical sites, in meeting
the challenges of their power restricted environments. The new hardware comes with dual
network ports built in, providing native support for high-availability, redundant
configurations which are able to tolerate any single point of hardware failure with no
loss of data.
A unique feature of the new WF-400 hardware is integrated support for hardware
protocol whitelisting. The hardware can be configured to allow and/or completely disallow
specific communications protocols, including the routable Internet Protocol. This
capability is important in the North American power industry, where the latest NERC-CIP
guidance in the form of CAN-0024, was recently released. CAN-0024 makes it clear that
unidirectional communications equipment which prohibits routable protocols, such as the
Internet Protocol, qualify for certain provisions in the NERC-CIP standards which are not
available to equipment which forwards Internet Protocol messages. The hardware protocol
whitelisting also provides a new layer of protection against the ability of even the most
advanced threats to "phone home" and send any information at all back to Internet-based
command and control centers.
In addition, new software versions of Watefall's patented unidirectional server
replication solutions provide enhanced support for Linux, and 32 and 64bit Windows
operating systems and special support for hardened operating system versions.

What do you do if a child has eaten a buttercup? Should you induce vomiting in a child
when it has drunk bleach? Thanks to the Japanese introduction of the SOS Poison app for
the iPhone, the answers to these sorts of question are now always at hand.
The SOS Poison application for smartphones contains an alphabetic list with 190 toxic
substances. For each substance, there is an instruction on what to do if a child has
ingested it. In addition, the app also contains a list of more than 60 toxic plants. Every
plant has a clear photo next to it, so that users can immediately recognise which plant a
child has eaten. The app also provides advice on ticks, snakes, jellyfish, bees or wasps
and there is a separate chapter with prevention tips and other relevant information.
"This app is of course intended for parents, but is certainly also useful for
teachers, playschool teachers, sports instructors and others who deal with children," says
the Dutch publisher Don Veldkamp. In order to get a good idea of the SOS Poison app, a
free LITE version is also available which displays a small part of the information.

NEW YORK, Feb. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) now offers in-flight Wi-Fi service on all Delta Shuttle flights between New York's LaGuardia Airport, Boston Logan and Washington National and on all Delta Shuttle flights between LaGuardia and Chicago O'Hare.
Delta operates the world's largest Wi-Fi-equipped fleet of aircraft and by this summer more than 800 Delta aircraft, including more than 250 two-class regional jets, will be equipped with in-flight Wi-Fi service. More than 550 mainline aircraft are already Wi-Fi-equipped.
Delta is the first carrier to deploy Wi-Fi across its entire mainline and two-class regional fleet. When Wi-Fi installations on regional jets are complete, more than 400,000 Delta customers on more than 3,000 daily flights will have in-flight connectivity on a fleet that already makes up nearly half of the world's Wi-Fi-equipped aircraft.

LONGBOW LLC Delivers First Production Block III Apache Data Link System to the U.S. Army
ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The LONGBOW Limited Liability Company, a joint venture between Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) and Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC), recently delivered the first production Unmanned Aerial Systems Tactical Common Data Link Assembly (UTA) to the U.S. Army for the Apache Block III helicopter.
"The delivery of the first Apache Block III UAS [Unmanned Aircraft Systems] control system, called the UTA, marks the next major capability advancement for the Apache, which continues to be the deciding factor on the battlefield," said Lt. This delivery follows the successful completion of the LONGBOW UTA system design and development phase. Low-rate initial production is currently underway to equip the first U.S. Army Apache Block III helicopters with this capability.

The new Block III Radar Electronics Unit enhances the LONGBOW Fire Control Radar system performance while reducing size, weight, maintenance and power requirements. The UTA will be fielded on the Apache Block III aircraft beginning in 2012.
